War enters new phase in eastern Ukraine

Russia has shifted its focus to the Donbas region of eastern and southern Ukraine. Over the last 24 hours, Russia has expanded its artillery and bombing campaign, hitting cities, towns and villages — including civilian populations. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that Russian troops have begun the battle for Donbas. He also said “it’s only a matter of time until all of Ukraine is liberated.” Host Marco Werman speaks with Olga Tokariuk, a reporter and a fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis.
