Disposable masks are bad for the environment: What’s the solution?

Since the CDC announced N95 masks were superior to cloth ones, trash cans have been filling with masks at an even faster rate. The question of how to balance health with sustainability doesn’t have a clear answer. The WHO has warned that the pandemic is exposing a “dire need” to improve medical waste management practices. To discuss, the World host Marco Werman is joined by Pierguiseppe Morone, a professor of economic policy at Unitelma Sapienza, University of Rome.
