Jan. 26 is officially Australia Day but to Indigenous communities there, it’s better known as Invasion Day. It grew into a national and even international event and a turning point for Indigenous activism. Marco Werman speaks with Gary Foley, an Aboriginal Gumbainggird who helped organize the 1972 protest.
