More migrants see Mexico as a place of refuge, rather than a transit country.

In recent years, more people from Latin America and the Caribbean have migrated from their homes, fueled by reasons ranging from poverty and violence to climate change. Many people still aim to enter the United States, but an increasing number of migrants are seeking refuge in Mexico. As The World’s Monica Campbell reports, that is challenging Mexico’s system.
