COVID waste is a big problem for the world’s wildlife

A recent study from China and the US showed that the world created more than 8 million tons of plastic waste from the pandemic. Masks and gloves and other PPE can end up killing wildlife, harming them, or making up parts of their nests. Researchers from the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in the Netherlands are collecting personal stories about animals impacted by COVID waste. The World's Marco Werman reports.
