This week, Taiwan has been at the center of attention because China has revved up the pressure there, with military exercises by air and sea. Earlier this week at a news conference, Taiwan's foreign minister Joseph Wu said, "We are willing to defend ourselves, and it's without any question and we will fight the war if we need to fight the war."
