Turkey formally enters Paris climate agreement in November

Turkey was among the first countries in the world to sign the Paris climate agreement in 2016. But Turkish leaders have taken until this year to ratify the pact, and it formally enters the agreement in November. They were holding out to see if Turkey would enter as a developing country or an industrialized nation, which would set up different expectations. Durrie Bouscaren reports that Turkey joins the climate pact during a year that extreme weather events have devastated communities.
