Health authorities in Canada say they’re determined to protect nursing home residents from the second wave of the pandemic. In most of the country, long-term care facilities are off-limits to everyone except for staff and family members who provide essential care. But as Anita Elash reports, that’s taken a toll and many residents who want the rules to change.
