Ana Batiz and her daughter, Susan, are both HIV-positive. When they sought asylum in the US, Ana was allowed to stay, but Susan was detained and deported back to Honduras. Now, there’s hope for their reunification in the US. WNYC’s Beth Fertig, who’s been following this story, spoke to host Carol Hills.
