Sudan: The largest displacement of children in the world

Fighting between Sudan’s military and a notorious paramilitary group forced up to 300,000 people to flee their homes in a province that had been a safe haven for families displaced by the devastating conflict in the northeastern African country, the UN said Thursday.
The civil war raging in Sudan is a nightmare for children. At least one child is dying from malnutrition every two hours in Sudan’s Zamzam camp. And, a most-serious hurricane is known as a Category 5. But two scientists have proposed the creation of a Category 6 designation, as climate change supercharges extreme weather events.
